Language is a means of communication that is species specific to human. This paper sets out to examine the role of language in the development, sustenance and transfers of technology. The analysis of this study is drawn from a lot of illustrative texts and internet sources. The study adopts the descriptive analysis. There are factors which affects the process of technology transfer. These factors include: culture and neo-colonialism. The findings reveal that the development, sustenance and transfer of technology can only be attained by means of language. It is through this means that the body of knowledge in the field of science and technology can be made available to the end-user. It recommends that these factors which affect the process of technology transfer should be addressed to ensure successful technological advancements and their continued progress and sustainability.
